The history of world is flooded with war, war tales and war fares. War is taking lives and giving lives. Loss of lives, loss of assets is bound to happen in war. Therefore people generally hate war. It is always stated that war cannot be answer / solution of any problem. It never solves any problem. According to lot of people, answers / solutions of any problem / issue should only be searched by way of discussion, talk and debate.
On the contrary, if one looks in the history it goes to show that peoples like war, war tales. The Great Indian epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata read for thousands of years with interest. If the wars episodes from these epics are deleted then will these epics are read with like interest? If it done, one must agree that the magic from these epics would definitely die down.
I am not at all supporter or proponent of war. I will be the last one doing so. Howsoever, another aspect regarding war is also to be considered at least as debate.
Whether war solves any burning issue? There are number of instances in the history which answers this aspect in affirmative. Bangladesh could not come in existence without war. Kuwait could not be freed from the possession of Saddam without war. Hitler’s era could not be ended by way of discussion or debate. Lankapati Rawan was put to certain discussion and debate to release Seetaji but in vain. Lord Krishna also endeavored at the optimum possible level so as to avoid war between Kauravas and Pandavas. Such efforts went futile. The issues involved in above aspects have been solved by war only. Would it then be wrong if one says war solves problem and issue in unequivocal, indubitable and decisive manner?
Truth and falsehood are natural enemies. Falsehood being perishable, bound to perish for sure but at the cost of war at most of the occasions. War is definitely justifiable when required for truth. In Geeta, Lord Krishna also justified war even with nears and dears, as was for the sake of truth.
War is also justified by most of the religions inasmuch as it happened for the sake of truth and when all other means of settlement are not worked.
One cannot, at any stretch of imagination deem Lord Ram as combative i.e. warlike. Lord Ram even accepted dwelling in forest to avoid war. Similar is the thing in respect of Pandavas. They too accepted dwelling in forest to avoid war. But when on being put to such situation – circumstance demanded war, they entered in it.
This is very little effort to focus upon another side of war, which goes to show that at instances war is justified as is / was unavoidable.
Similar or against views in form of debate are solicited.
